You might do this in the winter ( /u/RedCole111 suggests this, too), but I maximized my time by filling my farm with cheap, quick-growing crops (parsnips, radishes/wheat, bok choy) and harvesting only to make room for Qi Beans. You will need a LOT of space to grow your crops. All Qi Fruit harvested before then should be put into Seed Makers, growing your crop exponentially. The only Qi Fruits you should ship are the ones harvested within 3 days of the deadline. Here are some tips for completing this challenge: Picking up items (dandelions, e.g.) off the ground (Foraging) I have NOT gotten Qi Beans from these actions: Harvesting crops in the farm area of the Island (not the 'Island Farm' map) Shaking mahogany trees (even on the regular farm, in winter) Processing geodes (thanks /u/i_am_socrates) (Per /u/PWK0, all geodes effectively drop beans at the same rate.) Volcano Mine chests (thanks /u/VeeRook) and crates Hoeing spots with worms (Confirmed to work on the Island and in town)įishing (Beans can be fished just like junk, or appear in treasure chests) Mining rocks in the Volcano, Skull Cavern, and the Mines (the mussel-covered rocks on the beach work as well)Ĭhopping down trees (I've gotten beans from the first axe-hit, the second/last axe hit, and from removing the stump afterwards) Shaking palm trees that had coconuts in them (notably, I haven't gotten a bean from a barren one yet) So far, these are the CONFIRMED methods of obtaining Qi Beans: So, if you accept the challenge on Spring 26, you'd have 2 days to complete it (not enough time!!). This challenge works a bit different from others in terms of its deadline- you will always have until the last day of the current season to complete the task. The Qi Challenge, "Qi's Crop," requires you to find Qi Beans around the world, grow them, and ship them in massive quantities.
